In the capital’s Alley of Writers park, a creative meeting was held with the participation of a group of cadets of the Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan and secondary school students on the occasion of October 21 – the day of awarding the Uzbek language the status of the state language.

A member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, poet Mansur Dzhumayev, spoke at the meeting, noting that the protection of the Fatherland is as important for the state as the protection of the language is for the nation. The poet also told the cadets that the Uzbek language is becoming an important language of communication between all Turkic peoples, practical proof of this is trips to foreign countries.

Within the framework of the meeting, conversations of cadets and students were organized in the Uzbek language and in the spirit of patriotism. The event continued with the laying of flowers at the monument of Alisher Navoi and a poetic competition between cadets and students of the school.
