The Agency for Youth Affairs at the Academy of the Armed Forces held a presentation of a collection of books published under the heading “Jadids” and telling about the scientific heritage of our great enlightenment scientists.

The event was attended by Deputy Director of the Agency for Youth Affairs Feruz Ablayarov, member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, editor-in-chief of the collection of books “Jadids”, Doctor of Philology, Professor Bahodir Karimov and author of the novel “Kyrkma” (“Don’t be afraid”) writer Zhavlon Zhovliev. They told the cadets of the Academy about the glorious life and activities of our famous ancestors, the Jadids.

The author of the book “Abdullah Kadiri”, Doctor of Philology, Professor Bahodir Karimov emphasized that freedom and independence were the most cherished dream of the Jadids, and they sought to achieve this goal by educating the people.

The writer Zhavlon Zhovliev told in detail about the bitter fate of our compatriots who were sent to study in Germany under the auspices of the Jadids.

The collection contains materials telling about the life and work of such famous Jadid enlighteners as Mahmudhoja Behbudi, Munavvar kori Abdurashidkhanov, Iskhakhan tura Ibrat, Abdullah Avloni, Abdurauf Fitrat, Abdullah Kadiri, Abdulhamid Chulpan and Ghulam Zafari, as well as a brief analysis of their works.

During the event, a stage performance prepared by cadets of the Academy of the Armed Forces on the theme of “Jadids” was demonstrated, as well as a performance by the Central Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces.
